Accounts Assistant Apprenticeship
St Austell Healthcare (SAHC) is one of the largest GP practices in Cornwall. We have a an excellent opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join our friendly team as an apprentice. The Finance Assistant will need to be numerate and enjoy working in a financial setting. You will also need to have good attention to detail, and have computer skills, especially in using Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will need to have good communication skills. This will include the ability to work flexibly, to strict deadlines and to be able to prioritise own workload accordingly.

Accounts Assistant Apprenticeship for St Austell Healthcare (256359)
St Austell Healthcare (SAHC) is one of the largest GP practices in Cornwall. The Finance Assistant will need to be numerate and enjoy working in a financial setting. Main duties of the job
- Record all invoices on the computerised accounts ledger
- Ensure that all relevant documentation related to payment of invoices is accurate and attached before payment is processed, such as purchase orders and delivery notes, bank details and company addresses.
- Ensure all supplier account details such as account number, sort code and account name are up to date and maintained.
- Maintain effective relationships with suppliers and respond to first line queries regarding financial issues.
- Maintenance of the petty cash system across all SAHC locations, including monthly reconciliations.
- Recording bank transactions accurately.
- Assisting with credit control procedures
- Supporting with monthly accounts receivable process
- Contribute as an effective team worker within the finance team.
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects and administration.
