Hospital Waiting Times
The NHS created the My Planned Care website for patients to find out how long they have to wait at hospitals. The site will grow in the next few months to offer more help for patients during their wait.

Adult ADHD Referral Process
We are receiving a large amount of adult ADHD referral requests, and thought it might be helpful to clarify the process. The below information relates to ADHD referrals for adults. The ADHD referral route for children is via the Early Help Hub.
The local ADHD service is provided by Cornwall CFT NHS Trust. There is a long waiting time for the referrals, but the service is expanding. You will find information on the internet regarding your right to choose, however this is only an option if there is not an appropriate local service.
If you do have a private assessment undertaken, please check if they will provide prescriptions and follow-up care. The medication prescribed for ADHD needs ongoing monitoring and health tests, and we will not accept prescribing requests from private ADHD assessments.

- Contact the surgery via our website www.staustellhealthcare.co.uk, click on the online contact form, and select “other admin request”.
- We will send you a form to complete. This form is for your referral to the local ADHD service. It needs to be filled in with lots of detail including the time and length of symptoms, especially those before to the age of 12.
- Return the form to the surgery, and you will be placed on a waiting list for an appointment.
- You will be invited to an appointment with our Mental Health Practitioner to discuss ADHD and the options available for this. Currently we are holding a clinic once per month for these appointments.
- The referral will be sent.
