A message from Paul Hughes (Partner and Clinical Pharmacist)
We are working to improve our repeat prescription processing times. To enable our prescribing team to focus on processing prescriptions, the prescribing line will have new hours: 08:30 – 11:00 and 15:30 – 17:15 Monday to Friday. It is hoped that many calls will be avoided by the surgery having a faster prescription processing time, and that this will provide a better service for you. How can I check if my prescription is ready? Check on the NHS App or SystmOnline Ask your pharmacy to sign you up for text messages to confirm when your prescription is ready for collection Ask at your pharmacy How can I contact you if I have a prescription query? Email [email protected] If your request is urgent, please include the word “Urgent” in the subject line. Your community pharmacy have a direct line to the surgery, and can contact us directly if there is a problem with your prescription. You can complete an eConsult, especially if you are requesting a new medication or one that you have not had for some time. Call our prescribing line between 08:30 and 11:00 or 15:30 and 17:15. Call our reception team between 08:30 and 19:30 if your query is very urgent. Other ways in which you can help: Download the NHS App, you can order and track your prescriptions using this. Sign up for eRepeats at your pharmacy. They can dispense regular medications. This eliminates the need to submit a request each time. If you are ordering medication early, please include an explanation. Please allow time for both the surgery and pharmacy to process your prescription- we would recommend ordering 7 days before it is needed. Thank you for your continued support and patience.
